Congratulations to SenSat

On Tuesday 21st November SenSat, friend and occasional client of Red Ochre, launched a photo essay book called “A snapshot in time: Photographs and stories from a year in SenSat Operations”. Many of the photos are captured from SenSat’s automated drone surveying platform Mapp and are spectacular. If you can get a copy of the book you won’t be disappointed.     Read more »

MeWe360

Long term friend and occasional client Kevin Osborne has managed an incredible achievement. MeWe360, which he launched in 2013, aims to help entrepreneurs from BAME backgrounds. Now based in two buildings in Soho Square, London, MeWe360 provides work space, mentoring and introductions to potential investors to those entrepreneurs. There are 2 wings to MeWe360, a charity arm and a social enterprise. The project has recently received just over £1m in funding from the Arts Impact Fund, supported by NESTA and the Arts Council England as well as other funders. Mayor of London visits Building Bloqs

Building Bloqs recently received a visit from Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London. The new Building Bloqs work space at Meridian Works is supported by the Mayor’s Regeneration Fund and is in collaboration with Enfield Council and artist studio provider ACAVA. British Council’s Business Investment Readiness programme pilot nears completion

The British Council is piloting a programme in 9 countries to improve the investment readiness of social enterprises so that they can scale their social impact. Red Ochre partnered VSES in delivering the programme in Hanoi, Vietnam. Red Ochre delivered a 5 day intensive Train the Trainer Bootcamp for 30 consultants, trainers and practitioners. Read more »

Transitions speaks at Home Office Conference

Transitions social enterprise was invited to speak about refugee employment at the Home Office Syrian Refugee Resettlement Delivery Conference in Westminster on 28th January. Transitions was represented by two Syrian candidates (a civil engineer and an accountant), Vicky Johnson, Employment Advisor, and Martin James, Transitions Director, all of whom suggested contributions to the report to be written by the organisers of the conference.
