SE
UK health and social value programme
Are you a local
authority, CCG, community or social enterprise working in health? Looking
to provide more social value in your health and care commissioning and
delivery?
Funded by the
Department for Health the programme provides free bespoke support for
areas to implement the Public Services (Social Value) Act though
collaboration between the public sector and local voluntary and community
and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations in the arena of health and
care commissioning and delivery.
Applications are now open for the second
round of the SE UK health and social value programme.
Fancy
a change to pitch to John Lewis?
As part of
PitchUp project Popup Britian have teamed up with John Lewis Partnership
to offer start-ups the chance to get their products in front of top
retail buyers.
This year, John
Lewis is looking for “great ideas to make customers’ lives easier and
more enjoyable”. Entrants are welcome across Homewares, Clothing, Beauty
and Electricals, and of particular interest this year are personalised
gifts and fashion accessories.
Up to 12
finalists will be selected to pitch their products to a buying panel on
August 1st 2014. Each will receive individual feedback on their product
and pitch, as well as a follow up mentoring session with the Buyer.

government Growth Vouchers Programme. This programme provides matched
funding up to £2,000 to pay for expert advice on a range of business
topics.

Invitation
to Market Warming Events for the Provision of Integrated Youth Work in
Islington
Are you an
entrepreneurial, commercially-minded service provider who understands
young people and is interested in working with them to create exciting,
new and innovative out-of-school opportunities to support their journey
through adolescence and into successful adult life?
Islington
Council is interested in hearing from individual service providers and
consortia with a range of expertise who have the appetite and vision to
work with the council to take its universal youth offer into an
innovative and dynamic new phase. Providers or consortia will be required
to demonstrate their ability to support young people through developing
and delivering a creative and modern offer of youth work and will need to
have a proven experience of operating medium sized public buildings and
developing commercial offers from them.
Briefing events will
be held on:
Tuesday, 24 June
2pm to 3.30pm
Thursday, 26 June 10am to 11.30am
Friday, 27 June 2pm to 3.30pm

are financial tools for improved decision making and better managing your
business. He will also consider risk and perceived risk for investment.

GET
Seville interns getting green economy experience
The final group
of participants on our GET Seville programme are now in Seville. Ten
adventurous individuals are half way through their placements working at
community allotments, sustainable architects, an environmental education
centre, water engineering and science communications and research.
