Red Ochre client Rubies in the Rubble has managed to get its chutney products into Waitrose. This follows supplying Selfridges and also Jamie Oliver’s pop up diner.

Rubies, a social enterprise, founded by Jenny Dawson, up-cycles fruit and vegetables from Spitalfields Market which would otherwise be thrown away. The chutneys until recently could only be purchased in market stalls.

The enterprise creates work opportunities for long term unemployed women either in making the chutneys or retailing them in markets.
