Differences in Common exhibition

Friend of Red Ochre, Xenia Demetriou of eye4change, hosts the opening of Differences in Common tonight. The exhibition of photographs by 100 local people is an outcome of a series of community photowalks, facilitated by eye4change, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The work focuses on what new and existing communities have in common, while recognising the value of diversity. People from a range of backgrounds, abilities and experiences came together with each employing the camera as a tool for creative expression, storytelling and a means to connect, share and increase a sense of belonging. Maximising Cultural Heritage in Education

We’re working with Avilys in Vilnius, Lithuania and Materahub in Matera, Italy in order to better support cultural entrepreneurs and those working with heritage. Robert and Martin were recently in the stunning city of Matera where we saw some amazing examples of cultural led transformation. We’re working on some new methods and training materials so we can all deliver better training in this area in the future. We will be making these widely available for practitioners, so please come back on a regular basis for access to the materials. This project is supported by Erasmus+. Read more »

Ben Williams, founder and MD of Magmatech, will collect his prestigious Queen’s Award for Innovation award later in the year. Congratulations to SenSat

On Tuesday 21st November SenSat, friend and occasional client of Red Ochre, launched a photo essay book called “A snapshot in time: Photographs and stories from a year in SenSat Operations”.
