Social Enterprise Skills Programme: 3 days at UCL

This series of workshops introduces social enterprise and will give a clear and practical approach to starting, managing and growing social enterprises.

A practical approach will be taken to assist participants to understand and create compelling visions and value frameworks to address social or environmental issues. Governance, legal and operational issues will also be addressed. The importance of stakeholders and networking will be explored.

Social enterprises require differential strategies for start up, growth and support as well as different business models. The importance of good leadership and management are crucial for success as are a clear understanding of marketing and procurement and supply chain participation.

Other topics will include sources of start up and growth finance and financial management as well as the importance and methods of capturing and reporting social or environmental impact.
