Food for thought

Day 3 and 4 of the SfSE training in Tianjin has thrown me some interesting food for thought.

As a result of this British Council social enterprise bootcamp there’s a growing self-awareness of the skills gaps that the social entrepreneurs have. These entrepreneurs now know what questions to ask, who to seek out for help and what they need to learn more about.

Cultural differences in communications lead to revisiting the fundamentals of the marketing function

  • What is it you want to say?
  • Who do you want to speak to?
  • How will you make contact with these people?

And the impact function

  • How do I know I am helping people?
